About the event
Dr. Shreyash Hadke is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University. His research focuses on the optoelectronic analysis of semiconductors for photovoltaic applications. Shreyash received his Ph.D. (with an Interdisciplinary Research Excellence Award) from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) in 2021, where he gained experience in tuning novel semiconductors for renewable energy through chemical modification toward targeted applications such as photovoltaics and photocathodes. During his Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science (Bengaluru, India), he worked at the interface of materials science and electronics for the development of perovskite-based solar cells. Through his innovative research efforts, Shreyash hopes to ease the transition from fossil fuel-based energy sources to renewable energy sources by resolving the long-standing trade-off between the cost and performance of solar cells.
