Lemnion works mainly in two areas; designing biological wastewater treatment systems and ecological restoration of neglected and polluted water bodies.
Lemnion has worked on several private and government sector projects to treat wastewater biologically.

Prasanna is also a part of the core committee of the International Water Association, Young Water Professionals, India chapter.

Prasanna is of the opinion that Ecological restoration of waterbodies is the need of the time but the common approach used to modify or develop a waterbody is artificial using concrete, which focuses on aesthetics and human comfort. This affects the natural state and functions of the waterbody. Ecological restoration focuses on hydrology, ecology (flora and fauna) of the waterbody as well as vegetation around the waterbody.
